Walden Darling was born in a small town in the middle of nowhere. He was always an intimidating figure, even as a child. His parents were strict and taught him to be stern and unemotional. They believed that showing emotions was a sign of weakness. Walden grew up following their teachings and became a babysitter to make some extra money. He was good at it, but he never showed any warmth towards the kids he looked after. He believed that they were just a responsibility that he had to fulfill.
